Network Security
Classic Networking offers traditional support for firewalls, intrusion prevention and security auditing. We provide Cisco’s PIX and ASA security devices for the perimeter of the company’s network. We deploy Nitro Security’s Enterprise Security Manager for Log Management, Security Event Management and Network Behavior Analysis and Nitro Security’s NitroGuard IPS for a high-performance in-line network intrusion detection and prevention appliance. Classic Networking uses QualsysGuard to discover network assets, identify security vulnerabilities, manage and reduce business risks and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and corporate security policies. We offer HP ProCurve Network Immunity to detect and automatically respond to threats, such as virus attacks, inside the network. Classic Networking deploys the Airwave Management Platform to manage wireless infrastructures to ensure the correct security settings are applied on all access points.
Network Access/Admission Control
NAC is a combination of products, policies and services that enforce your security policy for all devices using your network infrastructure. Classic Networking sells and supports NAC solutions from Bradford Networks, HP ProCurve, Cisco Systems and Vernier Networks. We install NAC solutions for customers in higher education, K-12 and Health Care environments, and provide pre-installation support to ensure a smooth installation—installation services that have evolved over the last three years of deployments. Finally, Classic Networking provides technical support for an always changing environment.
Classic Networking has unique experience with NAC. In April 2004, we released the Client Assessment Tool for use in tandem with Bradford’s Campus Manager. This software was one of the first end-point compliancy applications for Windows. In 2005, Classic Networking released ResNet Policy Manager and Client Assessment Tool Professional. Then in 2006, Classic Networking launched our NAC solution into a separate company called AllSecure Networks. AllSecure Networks ceased operations in 2008 so we could focus on NAC solutions from our larger partners. The experience of developing our own NAC solution provided insight to the needs of the customers and allows us to be an industry expert for other NAC solutions.
Network Infrastructure
The core strength of Classic Networking is designing, selling and supporting network infrastructures. We design and develop large-scale projects using ProCurve or Cisco products, or from both companies to provide a best of breed solution. Classic Networking provides services to roll out large-scale projects or recurring services to support an existing infrastructure. Classic Networking has wireless experience with large deployments in Higher Education, Manufacturing and Health Care. We assist VoIP providers to ensure QoS is on for voice data. Our expertise includes layer-1 designs with copper and fiber, Layer-2 deployments with VLANs and complex Spanning Tree and Layer-3 routing with advanced OSPF/EIGRP and VRRP/HSRP for a robust design.
Servers and Applications
Classic Networking provides advanced technical services for Microsoft servers and applications; we perform Exchange migrations, Active Directory designs and tuning as well as advanced topics like deploying 802.1X in an AD environment. In addition, Classic Networking recommends bandwidth shaping devices from Total Traffic Control and Packeteer, web filtering from Total Traffic Control and Email Archiving from Total Traffic Control. Classic Networking deploys ESET’s NOD32 for anti-virus and malware detection for desktops and servers.
